1. How much does it cost to attend the New Dentist Symposium?

2. What is included in my registration fee?
   a.  Two days of clinical and practice management CE topics
   b.  Ticket to the Networking Cocktail Reception
   c.  Access to the Roundtable Exchange
   d.  Food and beverages for both days
   e.  Reduced hotel rate at the Delta Hotel Toronto
3. Do you have a one day registration fee?
No, there is no one day option available. The only registration option is to register for the entire symposium. If you do register for the symposium and only attend one of the days, you would be eligible to earn CE points for that day only.
4. How do I register?
You can register online by credit card only. To learn more and to register, visit the Registration Page. Registration will open in May 2018.
5. Can I cancel my registration?
Yes, cancellations received in writing up to 15 days prior to the event date (October 12th) will receive a refund – minus a $50 administration fee. If you cancel less than 15 days or do not cancel prior to the event date, the entire fee is non-refundable.
6. Do I have to check in when arriving at the Symposium?
Yes. Registration & Badge Pick-up begins is from 8:00 - 9:00 am. Upon arrival, all attendees must check-in and pick up their badge and handout package at the registration desk.
7. How do I get my name badge?
Badges will be handed out upon arrival at the symposium at the registration desk. Badges will not be mailed out prior to the symposium.
Note: Attendees must scan their badges when they arrive each morning and again in the afternoon (after lunch) when entering the lecture room.
8. How is my attendance verified at the New Dentist Symposium?
In order to verify attendance, attendees must scan their badges when they arrive each morning and again in the afternoon (after lunch) when entering the lecture room. A 15 minute grace period after the start of the first AM and PM sessions will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15 minute grace period, you will not be able to earn CE points.

Please note that you must attend the full day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim CE points. Attendees cannot claim CE points for attending half day of the symposium. If you do not scan in twice during each day of the symposium, we will not be able to verify your attendance at the symposium.
9. How can I obtain a copy of my attendance record?
Your CE Certificate of Attendance record will be emailed to you after the symposium based on your scanning records. It is the responsibility of each member dentist to maintain his or her own continuing education records and report their CE activity to the RCDSO.
10. What is the Roundtable Exchange and where will it be taking place?
The Roundtable Exchange is an ask-the-expert event where over 25 different experts seated at designated tables and participants will be able to ask their questions directly to the expert. A catalogue outlining experts’ area of expertise and key competencies will be provided as a handout upon checking in at registration.

The Roundtable Exchange will be taking place immediately following the last talk on Saturday October 27, 2018. It will run from 2:45 - 5:15 pm in the SOCO Ballroom.
11. How many CE points can I earn at the New Dentist Symposium?
We are currently in the process of confirming the CE points attributed to the New Dentists Symposium and will update the website once the number and category of CE points is confirmed.
12. Can I earn CE Points if I arrive late?
If you arrive late, you will not be able to earn CE points for that particular day. Partial credits will not be allocated for attending only a portion of each symposium day. A 15 minute grace period after the start of the first AM and PM sessions will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15 minute grace period, you will not be able to earn CE points.
13. Will food be provided at the New Dentist Symposium?
Yes, as part of the registration fee, Breakfast, Lunch and Snack breaks will be provided on both days of the symposium. Please see below for meal and snack timings.

Breakfast 8:00 - 9:00am (Breakfast will be served during registration)
AM Break 10:45 - 11:00 am
Lunch 12:00 - 1:00 pm
PM Break 2:30 - 2:45 pm
14. Where can I get a copy of the presentation slides and/or additional resources?
Speaker resources/slides will be made available to attendees after the event via an email link. Please note that not all speakers provide a copy of their slides and/or additional resources.
15. Can I bring my child to the conference?
Children and strollers are not permitted on-site at the NDS. Parents with children should make other arrangements in advance as on-site child care is not available.
