Dear Friends and Colleagues:
On behalf of the LDDS executive, I hope you've had some time to share with loved ones, and I wish you a safe and wonderful summer!
Thank you and welcome back!
First, I would like to thank out-going president, Dr. Christina McCord, my friend, colleague, and classmate. You did an exceptional job organizing LDDS events this past year, all the while balancing a busy professional schedule and home life. I will be relying on you a lot in the year to come in your Past-President role!
Secondly, I would like to formally welcome Dr. Matthew Morrison to the Executive as our new Secretary-Treasurer for 2023/24. Dr. Morrison is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at his own practice at Oxford Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre in London. Dr. Morrison is already a member of the LDDS Honours and Awards committee. We look forward to his enthusiasm and expertise on the Executive.
Third, I have convinced Dr. Greg Veitch to come back to the LDDS Executive as a Past-President Liaison. Dr. Veitch is a classmate and dear friend. Everyone should be lucky to have a person like Greg in your life. I look forward to many professional discussions, and occasional libation, as we navigate the LDDS through the next year!
Time to renew your LDDS membership for 2023-2024
This email contains information about renewing your membership with the LDDS. Your support and commitment continue to make the LDDS a great component society and one that others look up to. We hope you will join us for 2023-2024. We have been busy planning what we think is an exciting and informative schedule of speakers for our general meetings, Seminar Day, and Tulip Lecture. Attending our Seminar Day and Tulip Lecture next year could earn you up to 9 Core 1 credits! The list of speakers will also be on our website for your reference.
This year, membership renewals include an opportunity for LDDS members to personally support the work of the Wright Clinic. The services they provide greatly benefit the community. The Executive encourages members to consider a tax - deductible donation or volunteering at the Clinic. Donate Here.

Lastly, and certainly not the least, thank you to all our members who took time out of your busy schedules to attend our various events this past year IN PERSON!! It still feels weird that having meetings in person is a new thing again! We have a wonderful list of speakers lined up for next year's general meetings.
I am honoured to serve as LDDS President for the 2023-2024 term and and I look forward to networking and interacting with you all in the year to come! See you in September.
