Duties:
- Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
- Take dental x-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed
- Conduct thorough oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining good oral health
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as necessary
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Stay up to date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: 8 hour shift | Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
Qualifications
– Valid Dental Hygiene license in Ontario
– Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
– Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
– Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
– Experience working in a dental office setting preferred
– Familiarity with CAD software, medical imaging systems, and patient assessment tools is a plus
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices effectively
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
– Commitment to following infection control protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
