Course Description
The management of patients with missing teeth requires a multi-disciplinary approach and careful consideration and communication between dentists and dental specialists. Pre-prosthetic and pre-surgical orthodontic treatment is perhaps the most complex type of orthodontic challenge, given the need to effectively prepare the implant site appropriately to ensure the surgical and restorative phase of treatment could be treated optimally. This presentation will discuss orthodontic considerations in diagnosing and planning patients with oligodontia and present cases illustrating an interdisciplinary approach for their management.
