Course description:
Have you ever said, “Boy, I wish that tooth, or those teeth, would be in a better position to provide the best possible outcome for the treatment”. The adult patient presenting with missing, worn, tipped, over-erupted, or crowded teeth, referred to as a Compromised Dentition, often requires a complex and challenging treatment plan. As a general dentist, you can help these patients by restoring optimal tooth positioning prior to restorative treatment. The orthodontic treatment can be provided by a referring orthodontist or the general dentist, with appropriate skill and knowledge.
This comprehensive approach will enable the patient to preserve their teeth for as long as reasonably possible. Many adult patients are reluctant to accept conventional orthodontics, using brackets and wires. However, Clear Aligner Orthodontics provide a readily acceptable mode of tooth alignment, and thus, the dentist can offer patients the highest standard of dental care. The following cases received Clear Aligner Orthodontic treatment followed by restorative treatment.
