Welcome to Catarqui Woods Dentistry
Cataraqui Woods Dentistry is a growing practice with a steady flow of new patients each week. Backed by a team of four hygienists and a close-knit support staff, you’ll step into a practice with the patient flow and infrastructure to keep your schedule full from day one.
Our owner-dentist is personally invested in associate development and works alongside you as a mentor, sounding board, and collaborator. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to sharpen your clinical skills or an experienced associate ready to expand your scope, you’ll have the support, the cases, and the patient base to grow your career on your terms.
Meet Dr. Waji Khan
You won’t be working for an absentee owner. Dr. Waji Khan is a hands-on clinician, educator, and practice leader with more than two decades of experience and a genuine commitment to developing the next generation of dentists. A 2001 graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Khan launched his career as a dental officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he spent ten years before transitioning to private practice.
Dr. Khan’s clinical interests span the breadth of modern dentistry, with particular focus on cosmetic and esthetic work, implant dentistry, sedation, restorative, orthodontics, and oral surgery. He is an international speaker and continuing education lecturer, has served as a clinical instructor at both Dalhousie University and the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and teaches on topics ranging from full-arch implant cases and CBCT use to platelet-rich fibrin and the business side of running a practice.
The topics he teaches across Canada and abroad are the same topics you’ll learn alongside him, chairside, every week.
Colleagues describe him as a “down-to-earth, wet-fingered dentist” who teaches what he actually does in practice and brings honesty, humour, and humility to everything from complex full-arch cases to a Wednesday lunch team meeting. For an associate, that means a mentor who is invested in your growth, accessible when you need a second opinion, generous with his knowledge, and committed to a practice culture where clinicians can thrive.
