Position Overview:
Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Dental Assistant role combines clinical duties and operational support, to ensure high-quality patient care and clinic performance. The successful candidate brings a proven record of hands-on clinical experience, and a keen interest in patient care and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
CDA Duties:
-Perform all CDA duties at the highest standard, setting an example for the team.
-Assist with complex treatment plans, ensuring efficient treatment presentation and patient education.
-Operatory preparation, including instruments and materials.
-Radiography (must have HARP certification)
-Ensure follow-up on patient visits for continuity of care.
Administrative and Operational Support
-Learn and assist with Front Desk duties and operations.
-Monitor and assist with clinic inventory management
-Other administrative duties as required
Please note: EmergDENT is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year until 11pm. This will be a combination of day and evening shifts, with weekend and statutory holiday commitments as well. Statutory holidays are compensated in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
-A minimum of 2 years clinical CDA experience; Level I or Level II certification required.
-HARP certification
-Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and handle multiple tasks.
-Previous front office experience with payment processing and patient scheduling preferred
-Experience with inventory management and treatment plan coordination are assets.
