Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. You will play a key role in supporting the dentist and ensuring a smooth clinical workflow
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures (restorative, surgical, hygiene support)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments according to Public Health Ontario infection control standards
- Take dental X-rays (must have HARP certification)
- Set up and turn over operatories efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Manage inventory and restock supplies
- Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, patient coordination)
Qualifications
Certified Dental Assistant (Level II preferred)
HARP (X-ray) certification – required
Current CPR certification
Knowledge of IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) standards
Experience with dental software Abeldent is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
