Description
Level 2 registered Dental Assistant with HARP certification needed in a busy and well-established practice in Markham for 1 or 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays preferred), depending on candidate’s preference. Training is provided.
The job duties include:
• Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place
• Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records
• Taking intraoral and extraoral (panoramic) radiographs
• Assists dentists in the performance of routine dental and surgical procedures
• Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
Qualifications
• Level 2 dental assisting and HARP certification (1 year experience preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, reliable, team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
• Quick learner and comfortable with using technology (computer software, intra-oral camera, scanner, taking digital X-rays)
• Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is beneficial
