Discovery Dental in Ajax is seeking a Locum General Dentist for a 4-month maternity leave coverage from January to April 2026. This is a defined, short-term locum role focused on continuity of care within an established practice.
This opportunity is well suited to a clinician who is comfortable stepping into an existing patient base, following established systems, and providing consistent, high-quality care during a temporary coverage period.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing care to an established schedule of patients, including:
– Restorative dentistry
– Endodontic treatment on anterior and premolar teeth
– Extractions of erupted teeth
– Routine hygiene examinations using our structured assessment process
Treatment planning and documentation are expected to align with existing clinical protocols to ensure continuity for patients and the team.

Qualifications
– Registered with the RCDSO as a General Dentist
– Competent in restorative dentistry, simple endodontics, and extractions of erupted teeth
– Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including children
– Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
– Comfortable following established clinical protocols and digital documentation systems
