Dental Assistant – Full-Time/Part-Time

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Ottawa.
The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, is organized, and is comfortable working in a busy dental environment. We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term position and becoming an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are available
- Maintain proper infection prevention and control protocols
- Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments
- Monitor and maintain sterilization records and procedures
- Take and process dental radiographs as required
- Prepare and maintain dental materials and supplies
- Assist with operatory turnover and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment
- Provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients
- Follow all practice policies and Ontario infection-control standards
- Assist with other clinical duties as required
Qualifications
- Dental Assisting education/certification preferred
- Previous dental assisting experience is an asset
- Level II Dental Assistant preferred
- HARP certification preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional and positive attitude
