Description
Our Practice is a modern, patient-focused practice in the heart of Orillia, known for gentle care, clear communication, and treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. We’re looking for an organized, personable Patient- Hygiene Coordinator/ Floater Dental Assistant to keep our hygiene schedule running at its best and make sure every patient feels looked after from the moment they call.
This is a great fit for someone who’s part scheduler, part relationship-builder, and genuinely likes solving the puzzle of a well-run day.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and optimize the hygiene schedule — filling gaps, minimizing cancellations and no-shows, and keeping the columns full and efficient
- Manage the recall and reactivation system so patients due for hygiene visits are reached, booked, and confirmed
- Coordinate closely with hygienists and dentists to balance daily schedules and patient flow
- Be a warm first point of contact for patients — answering questions, booking appointments, and following up after visits
- Track and report on hygiene schedule performance, identifying opportunities to improve production and patient retention
- Support treatment coordination, helping patients understand and schedule recommended follow-up care
- Supporting dental Assistants in busy days and in same day emergency patient needs
Why You’ll Like It Here
- Competitive pay and benefits — your experience and skill are valued and compensated accordingly ($26 to $28 per hour plus unique bonus pays)
- Efficient bonus pay system to help you grow in the system
- Modern office and technology — work with up-to-date systems in a clean, well-run clinic
- A genuinely great team — a friendly, collaborative, low-drama environment where people actually enjoy coming to work
- Flexible scheduling — full-time or part-time hours available (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 9am–5pm; Wed: 8am–5pm; One Saturday per month)
- Real impact — this role directly shapes how smoothly the office runs and how well patients are cared for, and your work will be seen and valued
