Are you interested in reaching the ODA’s community of over 11,000 dentists? We have several ways for you to connect with the ODA’s members.
The ODA does not accept advertising on its website, social media channels or other digital properties. The ODA will not disclose personal information of members or event attendees to third parties without their consent. For more information, read our privacy statement.

Third-party Email Broadcasting Service
The ODA offers a fee-for-service for external organizations that wish to share their information with our members via email. It is open to non-profit dental/medical organizations, as well as other non-profit organizations whose information is relevant to dentistry and oral health in Ontario and would be useful to our members. Third-party emails are subject to a setup fee and a charge per email address.
- Third-party emails will be clearly identified as such within each email to indicate there is no affiliation with the ODA and/or its component societies.
- Submitted content of third-party email broadcasts will be reviewed for relevancy and accuracy, and to ensure:
-
- It provides relevant and useful information to our members (e.g., relevant to dentistry and oral health).
- It does not conflict with the ODA’s official policies and positions.
- It does not reflect poorly or bring any risk to the reputation of the ODA, its members, and the profession.
- It does not identify any dentist practising in Ontario when such an identification constitutes a testimonial used in advertising products or services to patients or the public.
- All scientific and clinical claims are supported by cited evidence in the form of references.
- No ad will be accepted if it promotes a product known to be harmful to health, is misleading, violates laws or regulations, conflicts with ethical and professional standards, or is considered in bad taste.
- Registered professionals who wish to advertise with the ODA must attest that they are members in good standing with their respective regulatory bodies.
- The ODA reserves the right to establish blackout periods or other restrictions, where the submitted content competes with ODA products, services and programs.
No third-party email broadcasts related to continuing education or competing with the ASM will be distributed within one month of the ASM, NDS, and the end of the RCDSO’s Quality Assurance Program Continuing Education (CE) cycle. The ODA reserves the right to establish blackout periods or impose other restrictions under specific circumstances, such as during other ODA CE events. Any third-party email broadcast that conflicts with the timing or location of an ODA or component society event will be deprioritized. Alternative arrangements may be considered.
