Description
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental billing, insurance claims processing, and front desk administration. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Process dental insurance claims, predeterminations, and billing.
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims and outstanding payments.
- Collect payments and explain treatment costs and financial arrangements to patients.
- Maintain patient accounts and ensure accurate billing records.
- Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Handle correspondence, referrals, and administrative documentation.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Perform general front desk and administrative duties as required.
- Knowledge of Cleardent is an asset.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Dental Administrator preferred.
- Knowledge of dental billing procedures and insurance claims processing.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
