Huntsville Smiles Dentistry (formerly Doug Litchfield Dentistry) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our well-established, non-corporate dental practice in Huntsville, Muskoka.
The practice has an established patient base, two hygienists, and an experienced clinical and administrative team. Mentorship is available if desired, with opportunities for continued clinical and professional growth.
The position is Monday to Friday with no evenings or weekends. Huntsville is approximately a 2-hour drive from Toronto and offers an attractive balance between professional life and the Muskoka lifestyle.
Responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Restorative, preventive, endodontic and basic surgical procedures within the dentist’s scope and comfort level
- Patient education and preventive care
- Maintaining accurate and complete clinical records
- Collaborating with hygienists, dental assistants and administrative staff
- Providing ethical, patient-centred care
- Maintaining appropriate infection prevention and control standards
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree
- NDEB certification
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)
- Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centred dental care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team
